Jacki Rock as a modern nymph
Hair by Tabz Monroe
As soon as I briefly met Jacki Rock, I knew she had to model for me. She is an ethereal beauty and there was no way I was going to let her say no. : )
Proving that age ain’t nothing but a number.
This girl rocks. She designs really cool jewelry, models, and hangs out with me!!

Nars Larger than life Long-Wear eyeliner
It seems like I am always on the search for the perfect eyeliner. You know, the one you would wear every day with everything; a similar phenomenon to finding the perfect pair of jeans, if you will. Well I’ve found my perfect eyeliner at the Nars counter. Nars larger than life long-wear eyeliner is unlike any eyeliner I’ve ever used. It goes on smooth, creamy, and deposits just the right amount of product. I purchased Via Venito, which is the blackest of black. It has real staying power on my waterline, which is hard to find. To give it the ultimate test, I went to sleep with it on. When I woke up, it was still there.
The liner comes in a total of 9 colors, from blue and purple, to white and ivory. Each pencil twists up and has a teeny sharpener at the bottom. Just be careful not to take off too much product with the sharpener (I prefer to gently shave the sides of my liner on a tissue to get a sharp point). Nars states these eyeliners have 12-hour wear. I would say that on me, they lasted between 6 and 8. I found that when I used the liner with an eye makeup primer, the color stayed truer and lasted a full 8 hours. All in all, it is the longest lasting eye liner I have ever used.
So if you, like me, need one perfect go-to eyeliner, that won’t let you down, run to your nearest Nars counter and pick one up. At $23.00, I found the product to be worth every penny. Now I am even more determined to find those jeans.
I believe life should be simple. From the way we live our lives, how we spend our time, who we choose to spend it with, and also the things we spend our money on. As much of a product junkie I am, I also really appreciate something that makes my routine more simple.
Philosophy purity made simple one-step facial cleanser is designed to take care of all of your face cleansing needs. It removes makeup, tones your skin, and then gently washes away the day. Your skin fells clean, yet not tight and stripped. One of the best parts of this product is that it’s gentle enough to use in the eye area. I’ve never understood cleansers that tell you to avoid getting it in your eyes. Something about that seems unnatural.
The formula is quite concentrated, so you only need a small amount for your whole face. It lathers well, and removes dirt or debris from your skin. Once you rinse it off, it leaves your skin feeling clean and lightly moisturized. I always feel fresh and beautifully simple after I wash my face at the end of the day. Why not use a product that keeps it simple as well?
Is everyone as obsessed as I am right now with rainbow hair??

One of the highlights of my 3 years in Hawaii was working with Mervina. Once we met, I knew there was something special about her. She was constantly improving her craft, from devouring magazines, asking for makeup tips, and just being open to learning. Not only is she a great model, but a friend who I look forward to seeing develop.
